Description: Letter from Elizabeth Gallery to Congressman Gilbert Gude, complaining that the eminent domain seizure of her business property, a bookstore, for subway construction, would drive her out of business. After seizure, the agency offered to rent the building back to her for what she says was an exhorbitant price. She expresses much bitterness over what she says is big business destroying her 81 year old small business.
