About Washington, D.C., History Matters

Washington History Matters is a collaborative project of the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University and the Department of Special Collections, Gelman Library, of the George Washington University.

The site was launched in May 2006, with a focus on twentieth-century debates over redevelopment and historic preservation, using documents in the Gelman Library.
