Editorial notes:
Description: Letter from Louis Justement to Albert J. Evers responding to Evers comments on the proposal for a Veterans Emergency Housing Program. In the letter Justement argues that the legislation is not a guarantee against loss if home values go down. Instead it is protection in case house values fall over five years because of public housing and a decreased cost of construction. He also argues that at the present time public housing is necessary because there is a much higher demand for houses then a supply. Justement does not favor public housing in the long run, but argues that it is necessary at the present time since there is not enough affordable housing available.
