Editorial notes:
Description: In the hopes that H.R. 16261 would become a reality, the Washington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau produced this brochure for prospective exhibitors advertising the Eisenhower Civic Center as if it were in operation. The Washington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau was started by the Greater Washington Board of Trade in 1931 and became an independent organization in 1976.

It is notable that the Eisenhower Civic Center project had progressed far enough along that precise blueprints were available that mapped meeting rooms, provided exhibit hall specifications, and the complete dimensions of the building. This is indicative of the energy and time the Board of Trade poured into this project.
